It is difficult to convey the assurance of God’s kingdom when the church and society are locked in the vice grips of deafening culture wars, each side in fear that this is the turning point of civilization. Yet a whisper in a whirlwind uttered by the right person to the right people can turn the world upside-down, or right-side-up depending on your perspective. Allow me to illustrate this truth with two key verses.
“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying,
‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.’”
(Matt. 28:18 NASB)
