As we come out of the Thanksgiving season, I am so thankful for those who stand with us in giving every month and praying regularly for us. Thank you for your partnership!
We have been busy lately. Check out all the photos below to get caught up on all God is doing in Greenville, across North Carolina and in the nations of earth.
Visit from the Darshi’s
Prathap & Regina Darshi are missionaries in India who oversee Burn 24-7 in that nation. Prathap has helped plant over 30 Burn furnaces there. We had the privilege of hosting this couple in Greenville for ten days, and they ministered at the Burn and the Prayer Furnace. Shepard and I spent some time with them exchanging wisdom and insights for marriage, ministry and in planting new Burn furnaces.
Leading Worship in New Bern
At the end of October I was able to take a band to lead worship for a 77-hour Burn event in New Bern, NC called Catapult that was in a tent near the river. It was a powerful night of worship & spiritual warfare! The following quote from the Burn New Bern blog sums up our time there.
“The 6 PM worship set with Matthew Lilley of Burn Greenville pretty much ripped open Heaven and the entire tent was engulfed with Heaven. There was not one person in the tent that did not get a touch from the Lord during that set.”
Heal Our Land: A 5-Hour Burn
We shifted our November Burn schedule to host a 5-hour Burn gathering the weekend before the US elections. In the spirit of 2 Chronicles 7:14 we gathered for five hours to worship, repent, pray and prophesy over the United States and invite the kingdom of God. Our prayer was not for politics but for revival. Multiple churches were represented and dozens of ECU students joined us. You can watch some of the prayer and intercession time on Facebook here.
Burn Winston Salem Launch
I was so excited to take our whole family to join in with the launch of a new Burn in Winston Salem, NC. This is a city that was founded by the Moravians, who are a huge inspiration to us (the Moravians were a community from Germany that sustained 100+ years of 24/7 prayer and radical worldwide missions). I was able to share about the DNA of the Burn on that Friday night and encourage the Hagerty family in their work in that area. Also, as you can see above, we took the kids to the original Moravian settlement site – the church building was originally built in the 1700s!
Thank you so much for your support,
Matthew & Shepard Lilley
