Greetings dear friends!

I hope each of you are doing well!

Below is a quick update as to the how things are going here in Ethiopia.

Thankfully we have finished the major repairs to the Wonji school and classes have now begun. We are still in need of some textbooks and computers. At this time we are going to focus on purchasing the textbooks. The cost of the needed textbooks is $4700. If any of you are willing to make a contribution towards the purchase of the textbooks, please use the Global Impact Resources information below. Also, if you are sending a contribution, please send me an email and let me know so that I will be on the lookout. Thanks to each of you who have prayed, promoted and financially contributed. Because of your support we are almost there!

Our church is doing well. We had a great summer with our youth: our annual summer youth program went well, we had our first youth conference and during our summer outreaches we saw over a hundred people commit their lives to Christ as their Lord and Savior! Praise God! Thank you for your prayers!

Please be praying for Ethiopia in this time. Long standing political and ethnic tensions are rapidly coming to a head. The country is now under a state of emergency. Travel outside the capital city should be done with caution, internet access is limited, and many internet sites have been blocked. Thankfully, things have been relatively quiet the past couple weeks. Things are safe at this time but please continue to pray. There is potential for this to reach tragic proportions. The churches are continuing in fasting and prayer and we are believing God for a peaceful, righteous and just solution. It is not prudent for me to go into further detail by email so this is all the information that I can give at this time. I am taking all necessary precautions and feel that it is safe for me to continue my work here.

If you would like to send a financial contribution towards the purchase of the textbooks, please visit this page. Please be sure to designate the “Ethiopian Missions” account.

Thanks and may the grace and peace of God be with each of you!
