Greetings dear friends!

I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the holiday season!

Things here are going well by God’s grace. We have had some dear friends from the states here with us for the past three weeks and it has been a fruitful time relationally, and of encouragement, equipping and instruction for our church family. We visited the school in Wonji yesterday and had a great visit. I will be sending out an update on the school soon.

I want to share a quick story of a recent meeting I had with  a young man named Aman who is a part of our church family. Aman is a third year IT student at Jijiga University on the border of the Somali region of Ethiopia. Aman gave his life to Christ about four years ago and as a new believer he faced many challenges from his friends his family. By Gods grace, he persevered through the challenges and has developed into an amazing young man who is passionately in love with Christ and serving Him faithfully.

Over the summer break Aman  lived (literally) in the church where he spent most of his time reading the Bible, praying and serving. We had lunch together before he left and I was amazed as he shared with me what Christ is doing in his life and in the lives of his family and friends.

Both his brother and sister accepted Christ over the summer…praise God! Now his mother and father are interested in his faith. They are now listening to worship music and the word of God together as a family. Over the summer many of Aman’s friends were also meeting with him to hear about the message of Christ.

I called Aman this week and he shared with me that four of his friends on campus have recently committed their lives to Christ and that he is now helping them grow through Gods Word, prayer and encouragement. He told me that his dorm room has now become a small meeting place!

Aman has been committed to our ongoing youth leadership training process and is now planning to develop a leadership mentoring group on his campus.

I am so encouraged by what I see Christ doing in and through Aman’s life. It’s an indescribable joy to see young people like Aman committing their lives to Christ, embracing the discipleship process and living out their lives for His glory and purposes!

I want to thank each of you for your partnerships in seeing the lives of young people like Aman being transformed by the love and power of Christ. I believe we have a great year ahead of us here and I want to ask each of you if you will continue to pray with us. I also want to ask if you would prayerfully consider making a year end contribution to help us launch strong into 2019.

Thank you, I love and appreciate you and may God bless you! Merry Christmas!

Eddie
