Greetings dear friends!

I hope you’re all doing well in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I just left a meeting that brought one of the greatest joys that I have experienced in Ethiopia!

One of the primary passions that I have for Ethiopia is to see cross cultural missionaries raised up here that will be sent to the nations. We have prayed, taught about missions, sent out short term teams and hosted missions conferences.

Last year through your partnerships we sponsored two of our youth to do a six month missions training and outreach with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Today we met together with one of them, Ebi and he shared that he sensed God calling him full time into missions and that he wanted to work with YWAM as a team leader in their training school here in Addis.

We are so excited and praising God for this! We have seen many young people that have gone on to be salt and light in business and other sectors but Ebi is the first person from our church that has taken this step to be a full time cross cultural missionary. Praise God! May He be the first of many!

Ebi met today with Meskerem (a member of and servant in our church) and myself. Meskerem spent years teaching, counseling and equipping Ebi. Ebi was bound in drugs and basically living on the street when he came to the church some years ago. All three of us were in tears throughout our discussion as we talked about all that God has done in Ebi’s life and all that God has in store for him.

Through your partnerships we were able to send Ebi to school to learn English and videography. This Sunday I was deeply touched as he stood in front of the church leading a meeting in English with an international team. The past month he had led this multicultural international team on a missions trip in the southern part of Ethiopia. He is also using the video skills that he learned in the area of missions and outreach.

Ebi will be working simultaneously with the YWAM team here in Addis and with our local church. He is leading the missions and outreach team in our church and will be connecting YWAM teams with our church for trainings, outreaches and short team missions trips.

Thank you for partnering with us in reaching, equipping and sending this young generation in Ethiopia!

May God bless each of you in Jesus Name!

Eddie
