Ethiopia Update

Hello dear family and friends!

I hope that each of you are doing well in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I am excited to share with you about a new program that we recently launched at our school in Wonji Shoa! Last week we began a weekly mentoring group for a small group of outstanding students from grades 8-10 who have demonstrated significant leadership potential. The students were selected by teachers and school administrators.

We will meet weekly for 13 weeks discussing, “The Art of Self Leadership.” We are using the first book of a series called Habitudes written by Dr. Tim Elmore. Yesterday was our second meeting and it’s going really well! These are amazing young people with great potential and we are excited about being a part of their leadership journey.

The goal is to help them develop their leadership skills and then for each of them to lead their own mentoring groups as a next step. Our vision is to build a leadership culture on campus by involving all of our grade 8-10 students in these mentoring groups.

The leadership climate in Ethiopia is changing and we are excited to be a part of equipping young people with faith and character based leadership skills which will empower them to be the change agents of tomorrow!

Thanks for partnering with us as we reach, empower and equip this young generation in Ethiopia!

Many blessings!
