Larry

I gave my life to Christ in June of 1982, just after finishing college (engineering). I saw the faith of others (Walt & Emma), and their close relationship with Jesus, and this touched my heart. It was beautiful and inspiring! I wanted to have this same relationship with God as they had. I asked God if “we” could have this type of close relationship, and I was forgiven and saved from the penalty of my sin. I returned to CT, and God brought a mentor into my life (Omelio) to teach me, and show what a Godly man looks like. I am eternally grateful to this man, and the Christians I met in CT. I joined a Christian prison ministry, and like a baby, drank up the milk from the Holy Spirit, and grew and grew. Humble service, with Godly people, is the best way to grow.

Throughout the years, God allowed me to be a part of different ministries, and witness many miracles. My passion was mainly for teaching Bible Studies. I love to study, research, and teach others about the wonderful things of God! I love to read His Word. To study. Then to share with others.

In 2011, the company I was working for (in Texas) asked me to go to China, to help the engineering team there. They were experiencing defects and production quality issues. This sounded interesting to me, so I agreed to go to China for 2 weeks. One night as I was walking after dinner, God spoke to me saying, “They are like sheep without a shepherd.” I was shocked, but I immediately understood what God was saying and asking of me. His words are in Matthew 9:35-38. This scripture has this verse, and adds “The harvest is ripe, but the workers are few.” God was asking me if I would go to China, and serve Him there. God put a love for the Chinese people in my heart. This plan was never in my thoughts, but it touched my heart so deeply, that I immediately said, “Yes. Whatever is in your plans for me, Yes”. I asked our Father to send me quickly, but for the next 5 years, God kept telling me to “Be still, and know that I AM.” So I patiently waited upon God, trusting in His timing, and His purpose for my life. During that time I went to China 8 times, and my passion for the Chinese people grew and grew.

Then in 2016 God said to me, “Prepare to go.”In September of 2017, I moved to China, to teach others about the love of our Father, and serve Him in any way that I can. I’ve been in China now for more than 3 years, and
encouraged local Christian friends, and taught others about the love of Christ. It has been overwhelmingly difficult, but I will endure – because the Chinese people need Jesus. There is very little hope here. Many are Buddhists, but the main god here is money, and the pursuit of houses, cars, and education for their children. There is very little joy on peoples faces, especially the older people. Life is hard here. But Jesus brings hope. Jesus brings joy and gives peace. We need the love of God, especially here in China. I have given my all to Christ. I’ve used up my 401K. I’ve used all my savings. I need partners to help me, so I can help the Chinese. Please join me as a partner. Not all of us can go, but together we can share the Good News. 18.5% of the World lives in China, and 99% of them do not know of the Love of God. Many have not even heard
the name Jesus. Not even heard His name…Let’s make a difference, together.

A Message from Our President

"Throughout my experiences in traveling to other countries as a pastor, I have recognized a common trend that exists among various ministries and missionaries. This trend is one of potential opportunity to impact the nations, yet the necessary resources are not always available to seize these moments. In an effort to address this challenge, Global Impact Resources was established as a resource-gathering agent for missionaries and ministries." - Mike Williams
