I hope that you had a great Christmas celebration as you spent time with family and friends and reflected on this beautiful gift of salvation we have been given in the birth of Jesus. Celebrating the holidays in a different place with hot weather and palm trees definitely didn’t feel like Christmas but the beauty of this season came alive in new ways for me this year and I am so grateful.

This past week we had a team of almost 30 people from Canada here for a week. It was a very exhausting, fulfilling and challenging week but as I watched them serve these people and experience God and come alive, it reminded me why I love what I do. It was another confirmation of this calling that God has placed on my life.

As I prepare to leave Haiti in just a few days, I am experiencing the first of the lasts and it has been such an emotional week! Yesterday was my last day at the clinic and my last movie night with the week. Tomorrow is the last day of church in Haiti and Tuesday is the last day of seeing our orphanage kids and speaking at women’s Bible study.

I cannot begin to describe the ways that God has changed me as He used me to minister hope and life to the people of this community. He has caused my heart to come alive in ways it hasn’t in years and I know that this is exactly where I am supposed to be.

After much prayer and seeking God as well as wisdom from many people in my life, I have made a very difficult but exciting decision: I will be moving back to Haiti. I will be returning to the states on Wednesday to build my partnership team, put my things in storage and overall wrap my life up and plan to return to Haiti in June. I will be here for at least one year but am fairly confident that it will be a longer season that that.

I won’t have much time at home so I will need to hit the ground running and am already praying and believing for God to provide the finances for my plane ticket by the end of February. If you would like to give a special gift towards this cost, the giving information is below.

Thank you so much for walking alongside me on this journey. YOU are making a difference in the lives of these children, these women and these teams of people who I am able to serve. God is using you to touch lives around the world.
