Formerly known as Bombay, Mumbai is the most populous city in India with 16.4 million people. It is also home to the lucrative Indian film empire, Bollywood. Almost half the population of Mumbai is Hindu, but there are also communities of Muslims, Buddhists, Christians and other religions.
Several top universities have invited these missionaries to their campuses to train college students in leadership. One university even requires students seeking a degree in mass media to attend these leadership classes.
Missionaries report, “The classes are the net we use to draw in youth. These are seeker-friendly events that enable us to share Biblical principles on leadership, influence, faith and excellence. Our meetings seek to empower students to take charge of their lives and walk in integrity in the middle of a wavering generation. With the doors that are opening for ministry on some of India’s top campuses, the opportunity to touch a future generation of leaders has never been greater.” |
