Kindergarten Classrooms

(New Classroom and playground)
Earlier this Year GIR decided to partner with a missions project in Ethiopia to help build a Kindergarten class. As we were raising funds for this classroom we were presented with the opportunity to build a second classroom at half price. Both the community and children are very excited about having a quality educational facility. Almost 99% of the youth in this area have no access of KG and this will be the only Christian based educational school in the area.
Global Impact Resources supported this additional proposal and now 80 children are receiving a Christian based education in hopes to aid in pursuing their dreams!

Hurricane Katrina Outreach in New Orleans

GIR sent a team to New Orleans just six weeks after Hurricane Katrina in October 2005. The team had opportunity to serve and minister to the victims of this devastation. One of the team members wrote...
The mission was to work at a relief center set up by a local church. This center was designed to meet the physical, spiritual, and emotions needs of hurricane victims. The team gave out food, water, hygiene and baby products, and cleaning supplies; there was also a medical tent, a veterinary tent, and a prayer/counseling tent. The first day our team arrived, it had the awesome privilege to work as prayer counselors and talk with people in their cars as they waited in line for supplies. Ninety-nine percent of the people we talked with had lost everything, but yet many of them had turned to the Lord in this situation and were relying on Him to provide.
On Sunday, the relief center was closed, but our team had the unique privilege to unload two large transfer trucks of supplies. We then filled up our van with supplies as we went out into the community to deliver them. As we drove around we met families cleaning out their houses - they greatly welcomed our gifts of food, water, and Bibles. While we were out, we came across a man who had been at the relief center the previous day and this is what he said, “Yesterday one of you prayed with me, and I felt a great burden released as we prayed. Thank you so much!"
